Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze ICT and its influence on teacher motivation in the teaching-learning process at the 8 de Noviembre school in the Paján canton. The methodology used has a mixed approach, where information on the motivation of educators to use ICT in the teaching-learning process was collected through a survey of teachers and an interview with the rector. The research has a mixed approach, that is, qualitative and quantitative, based on primary and secondary analysis, in order to analyze the results of the object of study. The population consisted of 16 teachers to whom a Likert scale survey was applied. Among the main findings it was possible to verify that they are not adequately motivated to use ICT in the teaching-learning process, one of the main reasons being the absence of technological resources and limitations that exist in the school studied. Based on the results, it is concluded that the motivation established for the use of ICT is fundamental in the teaching-learning process, so it is necessary to support educational processes with technological tools to promote new forms of education.
