Abstract
In order to provide university managers with a valid, reliable and effective decision-making organizational climate measure, this study, which analyzes the psychometric qualities of a questionnaire on university organizational climate (QUOC) has been done. This questionnaire was applied to 271 teachers of "Lisandro Alvarado" University. The preliminary version of QUOC was composed of 118 ítemes. An analysis of the QUOC made by 12 experts indicates that it has a. content validity, and a coefficient of Kendall (W = 0.90); b. discriminating power in items; c. a bifactorial structure for each component of the climate, managerial image, social relations, decision making and tasks; and d. reliability of 0,97. 54 ítemes were eliminated as a result of this analysis. The psicometric qualities correspond to a version of 64 items. It is concluded that the questionnaire is apt to measure the university organizational climate.
