Abstract
This documentary research offers an explanation of the role of geography as a school subject in a rapidly changing modern world. Thus, the complex problems the subject Geography faces, the literature supporting its main postulates, and the need for a change are discussed. It is concluded that geography has to deal with problems of geographical areas; it also has to rebuild the historical changes of the communities; scholars have to do more applied research, and training to reeducate the 21st century citizens is needed, so that they can improve the geographical conditions of the country.
