Abstract
The study aims to assess the effect of the application of Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis Miller) and the dry paper pulp as alternative gelling of the agar-agar for preparation of cultive media for the propagation in vitro potato variety Andinita (SolanumTuberosum L.). It is performed under the quantitative approach and positivist paradigm, adopting an experimental study of explanatory character. The procedure was carried out using as a base the solution Murashige-Skooge (MS) substituting agar-agar and applying traditional techniques of cultivation in vitro. The population under study was composed of 300 vitro-plants a lot of papa "andinita" (SolanumTuberosum L.) belonging to the (INIA) of which was used as sample 100 vitro-plants that batch culture. A witness of the vitro-plant which had a traditional medium, while 4 groups were subjected to different concentrations of the media substitutes for the agar-agar was selected for treatment. It is expected that this research generates alternate means that contribute to the reduction of the use of the Agar media in vitro.
