Abstract
The present bibliographic-documentary investigation pretends to raise how the emergence of the virtual organizations can cause the reborn of a new higher educational institution; where (1) the incorporation of technology to the process of teaching, can allow the transference of knowledge without space and time restriction, (2) new knowledge development is caused through the creation of multi, inter and transdisciplinary investigation teams, without time and space limits, through the use of the TICs. Causing that these institutions adapt themselves to the emergent paradigms and a true globalization of the knowledge with strong social pertinence can be obtained.
