Abstract

The purpose of the following article is to convey the results of a descriptive research. The main objective was to analyze the quality of management in the Teaching-Administrative Integration Phase (FIDA) of the Modern Languages Department at the UPEL-IPB. The used methodology embodies the present study within the limits of descriptive investigation field and it includes as a useful element – in order to increase its feasibility about the results – a questionnaire which was applied to the subjects: teachers, assistant teachers, and students; involved in the development and execution of this phase. The data was processed by using descriptive statistic percentage and graphics. The managerial procedures accomplished during FIDA in The Modern Languages Department attend obsolete quality criteria established in the UPEL-IPB long time ago. Therefore, these procedures do not attend the current needs of the performing students and the application centers. The data also allowed the establishment of new quality criteria in order to manage the phase through a prospective vision allowing the local, regional, national, and international recognition of the out coming teachers of the UPEL.
