Abstract
This research studies students’ geometric reasoning in solving conjecture and demonstration problems through the Cabri Geometry II software, taking into account Van Hiele’s levels of reference for conjecture and demonstration problem solving. Theoretically speaking, this research is based on Van Hiele’s Reasoning Model, as well as the microanalysis and categorization system proposed by Gil et al (1999). Results indicate that a. only three students show a higher Van Hiele’s level during the sixth session in comparison to the third session; and b. the Cabri Geometre II Software favors students’ geometric reasoning when solving conjecture and demonstration problems.
