Abstract
Child abuse as multidimensional and multidisciplinary issue includes different areas: legal, social, educational, and health, among other. Those areas should contribute together and should be linked to the development of significant preventive actions. The present research aimed to design strategies for the prevention of child abuse through an effective alliance between the school and the family. It was a descriptive, field research for which the information was obtained from the problems studied in the Center for Initial Education “Juan Griego” located in the Marcano Municipality from Nueva Esparta state, by diagnosing the causes through the recording and analysis of available data. Sixty eight parents and twenty teachers participated in the study. It was observed that teachers lack training on child abuse which is relevant because if they do not have the knowledge about that social problem it cannot be diagnosed, treated and avoided.
