Abstract
This study focused on identifying the knowledge of students of the School of Bibliotecology and Archives of the University of Zulia (EBALUZ) with regard to the objectives of professional practices level II (PPII); and determine the strengths and weaknesses of such practices. The results reveal that the objectives of the IPPIs are disclosed to interns; among the strengths are: motivation and encouragement in students to learn from practice, strengthening fair, honest and ethical thinking, promoting teamwork, enriching the professional profile and updating the curriculum. As weaknesses highlight: median receptivity of interns in companies, and in the commitment to their academic activities, failures in the pre-established guidelines between business and university tutors, there are limitations in the contact of the practitioner with her academic tutor during the development of internships.
